Dear Parents
Today's youth can become the leaders of today and tomorrow. Youth can accomplish magnificent things for the Master's cause. The Scriptures represent youth as a time both of danger and challenge. Moses said that "...the imagination of a man's heart is evil from his youth." (Genesis 8:21), and Paul admonished Timothy "...flee youthful lusts."

By way of contrast, though, the Creator also recognises the value of youth to the divine cause. Youngsters have energy, they are daring, and their hearts are filled with visions of the future. Indeed, they can be most a most valuable component in the service of God.

It strikes me that our youth can be quite impetuous and sometimes a bit silly. They are however, a wonderful resource in the kingdom of heaven. The Bible has many examples of how God has used younger people in some of the most vital roles in His marvellous plan of redemption. Joseph was seventeen years who, in the later years of his life became the vessel for the preservation of the Israelites (Genesis 45:5), his family and many others (Genesis 50:20). Miriam was between ten to twelve years who ensured that her brother, Moses, would not die or be killed and that her mother would nurse him. Moses would be used to be the deliverer of his people (Exodus 2). David as a young man achieved many exploits and delivered the nation of Israelites from Goliath (1 Samuel 17).

Vision

Here at AFMVC IMPACT YOUTH, we intentionally partner with parents to build up the next generation of spiritual leaders for Christ. We dream of seeing every home passing on their faith in the person and work of Jesus Christ to the next generation. May the next generation of disciples continue to spread the Gospel message to the ends of the earth.
