    RTU Prayer Letter May 2016

Judges 2:10 After that whole generation had been gathered to their fathers, another generation grew up who knew neither the Lord nor what he had done for Israel.

Beloved, thank your faithful partnership in prayer. We ask that you continue to join us in prayer so that this generation and the next generation will know God and God's work in our lives.

    1. Missionaries: Thank God for the fundraising event that was held on the 23rd of April in SA. Although not many attended we thank God for those who made a donation towards the event. The guest speaker gave an encouraging message of God's grace and the response of people towards God's grace. He emphasized "For by the grace of God we are what we are". Thank God for the HC (House Church) presentation done by Pastor David and his wife Jannine. We thank God for the positive response from one person after the presentation; better understanding and realization that their view of HC was completely different. The person is excited and plan to visit a nearby HC soon.

We thank God that Pastor Enoch and Helen's visit in Korea has been fruitful learning more about the HC (house church) ministry and having spiritual encouragement. Pray for the medical treatment that Helen needs to have. Also that they will complete all the work in the next 3 weeks before they return to SA.

We give thanks to God for the wonderful opportunity that RTU missionaries had attending a conference with their sending church Bokduen- from South Korea. The session speakers gave very encouraging messages of hope and challenges for personal introspection. May God help us to check that our motivation for missions/ ministry is not selfish but to do the will of God. The missionaries from various parts of Africa and Albania had the opportunity to share their testimonies and specific ministry. That too was a time to give praise to God for all that God is doing through the various ministries. Listening to the missionaries was a challenge to RTU to do more, be passionate and committed, and be sure that God guidance and will be done in all we do.

    Botswana:
Pray for the churches at Diphuduhudu and Manthswabisi; to grow and have strong faith in God. Many challenges in personal lives, jobs, no ploughing due to low rainfall, and illnesses have reduces the commitment to ministry attendance.

    South Africa:
Please pray for all the HC Shepherds so that they will not grow weary in doing good. Also, that they will press on in the midst of pain and discouragement.

Pray for the HC pastoral couples retreat on the on the 3rd and 4th of June. That it would a be a time for God to give encouragement and strength to continue in their various ministries.

Pray for the church across the world. There is a decline of believers attending worship and the next generation of believers are seems to have weaker faith. Pray that the message of faithfulness will be passed on in word and example. Pray that the church will keep faith in Jesus, be faithful in ministry and call non believers to follow Jesus.

    In the Lord'a service together
